As we get ready to launch version 4 of the site and celebrate the anniversary in few days we want to provide an update. Here is where things are and some changes that are already implemented or are just around the corner. First, big thank you to all our readers and supporters. We are grateful for the 1/2 dozen people who have supported our work verbally or with gift from $1 to $70 every bit counts. You will see the result when we launch the next version of the site. Interactive
One of the key elements of the next version of the site is interactivity. Many naturist sites are one way type communication with users passively taking information from content creators and living vicariously through them. We believe that ordinary people living clothes free lives is what makes naturism work. So we want our readers to not just lurk or observe, but also react, respond and reply.
To make that possible we have add several interactive options to the site. Whether you are commenting or contributing users can share their unique perspective with our interactive tools. Comments can have audio as well a images other types of attachments. In addition all our content can be shared with the click of just one button and most areas now have a like or star ratings so we can see what kinds of topics you want to see more of.
Finally on the interactive front we think the newest integration of interactive nu Gym Tribe community is ready. As community of contributors, various levels of interactivity are available to free and paid members. The main feature of the community are the social interest groups built around the main areas of the site, (magazine, directory, wiki, naturist living) each group has its own discussion form, document library, photo gallery and chat room.
Content
Speaking of content. In light of some recent events we are moving away for our practice of reblog excerpts of naturist blogs and pages. That will be replaced by sharing blog posts from designated content partners. The web reads section of our newsfeed will remain but nothing new will be added. Instead a new naturist views section will feature content from bloggers and writers who explicitly agreed to sharing excerpts of their contents for us to promote. Content partners will receive a featured listing in our
naturist directory free ads and a logo link on our front page. If you are interested in being a content partner send us a message on our
contact form.
Currently we get over 1k views a day from a global audience. Some areas of the site like the wiki directory and movie database rank high on the search engine front page. It is a great opportunity for a naturist site to be promoted. In our ongoing commitment to promoting other naturist content and not just our own we are offering an
ad exchange as well paid ads on our high traffic pages. Our original content will continue to developed and shared in new ways like a weekly update and monthly newsletter. A premium newsletter with early exclusive access with a paid subscription will be available as early as this spring.
Another change to the way our original magazine content is shared is the introduction of a leaky paywall. Free membership or visitors receive a generous 10 free reads a month. Contribute a post recipe, event, review, wiki article or directory, to the site and receive a month's unlimited membership. Regular contributors who contribute at least one posts, recipe, event, wiki article, directory listing or review every month are upgraded to author level and automatically get a monthly membership ($3 value). Authors whose content generates lots of traffic, or have many followers, also get paid with cash based on the number of views and traffic with monthly payout minimum of $50 or merchandise from our naturist shop.
